ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 will be played in Bangladesh, Sri-Lanka & India. It will be in ODI World Cup series.
 Cricket World Cup 2011 :
The tenth ICC Cricket World Cup is scheduled to be held in Bangladesh, Sri-Lanka & India, from 19th February To 2nd April 2011. It is be the first time in being co_hosted by Bangladesh the tournament. World Cup 2011 ODI will follow a revised format, with 14 participants instead of 16. The participants will include Australia, Pakistan, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Canada, Kenya, India, South Africa, England, West Indies, Bangladesh, Ireland, Netherlands..
The teams will be divided with 7 teams in each into 2 groups.

Group A : Australia, Pakistan, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Canada, Kenya.
Group B : India, South Africa, England, West Indies, Bangladesh, Ireland, Netherlands.

The top four teams from each group will proceed to the quarter-finals.
In the new format it has been ensured that minimum 6 matches will be played by each of the teams, even if it is the first team one out of the tournament. The top four teams of the quarter-finals will reach the semifinals, whose winners will then face each other in the finals at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. A total of 49 matches will be played in the tournament. The winner of the 2011 Cricket World Cup would be awarded with prize money amounting to US $4 million.
